What This Archive Is

Quarryby is an independent editorial resource focused on Romanian literature and the cultural infrastructure surrounding it — book fairs, reading programs, literary festivals, library networks, and the publishing industry. The archive does not represent any publisher, institution, or government body.

Content on this site falls into three broad categories: reviews and reading guides for specific works, profiles of authors, and factual coverage of literary events and programs. All articles are written with a descriptive, neutral tone and do not carry promotional intent toward any publisher or author.

Editorial Approach

Articles on Quarryby are fact-checked against primary sources where available. For historical literary material — particularly coverage of works written or published before 1989 — we rely on Romanian academic sources, translated critical literature, and where relevant, original Romanian texts.
